The figure shows that by the treatment of Dex together with ACAT inhibitor 58-035, the lipid droplets containing cholesteryl esters was obviously reduced in the THP-1-derived macrophages, indicating that the foam cell formation promoted by Dex at lower concentration of ox-LDL was a result of the enhanced ACAT activity or expression.
