In Memory of Professor Ming Yeh (1930.9-2005.5)

Prof. Ming Yeh, the Deputy Editor-in-Chief and one of the founders of Cell Research, passed away on May 25, 2005, after a battle with cancer. She was 74 years old, born September 30, 1930 in Fuzhou, Fujian Province, China.

Over the last three decades, Prof. Ming Yeh left a legacy of kindness, knowledge, diligence, and honesty amidst her colleagues, students, and friends. She was a highly regarded, well known scientist in the field of immunology. She had a great impact on the advancement of immunology, especially in China. In addition to her many responsibilities, for example, supervising graduate students and leading research projects, she undertook the editorial role for Cell Research, which has been widely recognized and appreciated. She worked closely with the Editor-in-Chief on all aspects of the editorial process including reviewing and editing manuscripts, recruiting papers internationally, selecting expert reviewers and editorial board members, and coordinating public relations for the journal.

Prof. Ming Yeh was a great scientist, colleague, teacher, mentor, and friend. We will all miss her for her dedication to her career and to our Cell Research.
