Cell Research is an international journal publishing peer-reviewed original articles, research highlights, invited reviews by experts, commentaries, and letter to the editor aimed at promoting scientific exchanges between China and other parts of the world. The journal has an international authorship and a broad scopes in basic research including cell biology, molecular cell biology and related fields such as cell growth and differentiation, signal transduction, apoptosis, stem cells, development, immunology, neurosciences, plant cell biology, chromatin modulation, epigenetic and transcription ect.
Cell Research is China's leading journal in the life sciences listed in the category of Cell Biology in SCI, ISI, US and is indexed in various important citation resources such as Index Medicus/Medline/PubMed, Science Citation Index, Current Contents-life Sciences, SciSearch and ISI Web of Science, Chemistry Abstract, BIOSIS, VINITI, Chinainfo(CD&Web), CJFD(CD&Web), CJCD and CEPS. Cell Research was founded by Shanghai Institute of Cell Biology, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) in 1990 and sponsored by Institute of Biochemistry and Cell Biology, Shanghai Institutes for Biological Sciences, CAS from 2002. It published semiannually in 1990-1997, quarterly in 1998-2001, bimonthly in 2002-2004, and monthly from 2005. It is supported by grants from Chinese Academy of Sciences and National Natural Science Foundation of China (No. 30224811). Cell Research is published monthly by Nature Publishing Group in partnership with the Shanghai Institutes for Biological Sciences (SIBS), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) from 2006.
The journal has an independent international Editorial Board, consisting of more than eighty experts in cell biology and related fields (more than 25% are Members of Chinese Academy of Sciences and Chinese Academy of Engineering, and 30% are outside of China ). This, together with a number of international reviewers, guarantees the prompt evaluation and publication of high quality papers throughout the world.
