Job Description: Postdoctoral position at Cell Research
(Shanghai, China)
         


Cell Research,
China's leading journal in life sciences, has an immediate opening for a postdoctoral position in Scientific Editing. The journal publishes original papers covering a broad scope of basic research in molecular and cell biology, as well as reviews and protocols.

The position offers a unique opportunity to participate at the cutting edge of molecular and cell biology research without physically working at the bench. The successful candidate will be mentored by Dr. Dangsheng Li, Professor and Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Cell Research, and will participate in all aspects of the editorial process, such as manuscript evaluation, reviewing and decision-making, recruiting papers, commissioning and editing of reviews, and writing for the journal. Candidates should possess the following qualifications:

The ideal candidate should possess a recently awarded PhD (with no more than 1 year of post-graduation experience) in the area of molecular or cell biology, with a strong interest in scientific editing and the ability to think critically in broad areas of life sciences. The successful candidate is also expected to be highly motivated and responsible, and be able to work both independently and within a team. The candidate should also have outstanding command of the English language.
