Amino acid availability governs mTOR ubiquitination

In a recent paper published in Cell Metabolism, Ge et al. report that amino acid depletion promotes K27-linked poly-ubiquitination of mTOR through activating a novel tRNA-GCN2-FBXO22 signaling axis to suppress mTORC1 kinase activity.
