MitoCatch directs mitochondria delivery and prevents cell degeneration

Mitochondrial transplantation is a promising therapeutic strategy to restore cellular metabolism and prevent cell death once limitations like delivery efficiency, organelle viability post-isolation, and cell-type specificity are surpassed. In this issue of Nature, Ayupov et al. introduce MitoCatch, a targeted transplantation system showing selective organelle internalization, offering precision for disease treatment.
