A new STAT3 function: pH regulation

In a recent paper published in Cell Research, Liu et al. describe a novel function of STAT3, a classical oncogene, on lysosomes to regulate pH by interacting with the vacuolar H+-ATPase. This finding suggests a new anti-cancer strategy by limiting this function.
