Basophils orchestrate kidney fibrosis

Basophils, though representing a minor population of leukocytes, have diverse roles in various pathophysiologies. A recent report provides an additional evidence on the pathogenic role of basophils in promoting kidney fibrosis by secreting IL-6 and promoting the Th17 cell differentiation.
