SIX of one and half-a-dozen USP2 regulating inflammation

The sine oculis (SIX) transcription factors prevent excessive inflammatory responses. Yi et al. now show that their levels are regulated by a deubiquitinase, USP2, that is upregulated by inflammatory stimuli and prevents proteasomal turnover of SIX proteins.
